The first iteration of an outdoor exhibition of contemporary art staged in the public space of the regional township of Rakvere, Estonia.
The aim of this event was two-fold: to bring contemporary art out of the galleries and museums and to do so outside of the capital city, Tallinn.
The Visitors

The second Kilometre of Sculpture was staged in the township of Võru in the southeastern region of Estonia, and featured artists from Sweden and the Baltic region.
Momentary Monumentality
2016
The third Kilometre of Sculpture returned to the township of Rakvere in the north of Estonia, and this time with a Finnish curator, it included artists from Finland and across Europe
Take a Stand
2017
In 2017, Kilometre of Sculpture was invited to exhibit as part of Tallin Art Week and the organisers saw this as an opportunity to showcase the artists that had participated in KMS so far and to raise awareness of the event among art audiences in the capital, Tallinn.
